You can now use your US Transcom pre-paid service throughout all of North America via toll-free numbers and many cities in the world via International Local Access numbers. Following is information on this option:
- What are International Local Access Numbers?
These are access numbers our clients can use when overseas, in specific cities, which offer very low international rates. This enables you to call back home, or to other countries, at a fraction of the cost of local long distance services, conveniently using your pre-paid account you already have with US Transcom.
- How does this service work?
When in any of the cities we have service, simply dial the corresponding access number for that city. You will receive the same voice prompts- in English- you receive when using the service in the US. Simply enter your PIN, then the number you wish to call. You would make the call as if you were in the US (1 + area code + number for US and Canada; 011 + country code + number for international calls).
- What are the rates?
The rates are the same as if you were using the service in the US. For example, all US calls are 4 cents/minute; Canada and Western Europe 5 cents/minute. You may even make a long distance call within the country you are in and in many cases this call would be cheaper than calling direct over local lines.
- Do I have to do anything to obtain this service?
No, the available credit you have in your account would apply whenever using your service anywhere in the world.
- Where can I find these access numbers?
As we constantly receive new access numbers, please contact us before you travel to see if we have a number for the city you will be in or check our website. The next page contains a list of cities we work with and the corresponding access number.
- Can friends and family overseas use this service?
Yes, they can either use your PIN, or they can sign up for the service themselves (and you will receive $10 credit to your account for each referral!). Simply have them contact us directly, providing us with your name, or you can supply us with their contact information. |
